We had so much fun. We played in the ocean, walked on the beach, shopped, and ate a ton of amazing seafood! When we got there, there was a bunch of seaweed and someone had written out LSU in seaweed in the sand under the balconies. The next night the cutest kid was writing something else with the seaweed.
We just sat on the balcony and watched him work for a while. He had his family on their balcony directing him. This was the final product.
He worked so hard on it, and the next morning someone had messed it up. So rude.
We came home to our sweet kids on Wednesday, then headed back to Spring Valley Beach on Thursday. This is where our week got eventful. First of all, it was the last day of July and it was freezing! I was already not looking forward to the day. Literally five miles from the waterpark we heard a noise. We stopped, and this was the culprit.
See that nice big screw in our tire? This was the only time I was glad it was freezing outside. The kids sat in the car while Daniel put on the spare (after we spent ten minutes looking for it) and they didn't die of heat stroke.
Glad the hubs was with us. So he put on the spare and off we went to the waterpark. We met Aunt B and the fam there. They rented a huge pavilion so we had a nice place to sit and eat. Avery had fun playing in the water. I was glad that day that she doesn't like the water slides because there was no way I was getting more than knee deep in that ice water.
Daniel was watching people go down that big U-shaped slide. He stepped over to see better and stepped in a hole and stubbed his big toe pretty good and maybe broke his second toe. He had to go to the first aid station and get cleaned up. After that, he didn't want to go down any slides. So the kids got a strawberry snow cone, and Avery had fun feeding it to Colt.
I thought Colt would have fun because the water only came up to his waist. But he didn't really like it, and spent most of the day walking on the concrete and up and down the stairs. This is what inevitably happens when you do that all day.
Poor thing busted it on the concrete and got that lip good. It bled soooo much! I didn't think that much blood could come out of a lip. He cried like he was dying and then finally fell asleep. Bless his heart. After Avery swam a little more, it was finally time to go home. What a day!
You guys went to the beach?!? Fun!! Sounds like your day to spring valley beach wasn't so good...poor Daniel and poor colt. Hope everyone has recovered.
